In a green area along an industrial area, Pool Architekten recently realised a detached villa. The total housing program is brought together under one roof span. The floor plan of the residence is organised around a semi open patio. All the features of the ground floor are oriented towards this open space. Large glass surfaces in the façade create a strong relationship between the interior, the green outer space and the landscape. In this way the property opens itself to the typical green corridors that grant the area a certain degree of transparency. The monolithic volume is purposefully cool, but carefully detailed. The minimalistic approach of it is carried on into the inside. The materials; glass, aluminium and Chinese slate form the main façade cladding. Only the entrance deviates from this through the use of clear wood.
