Villa Punto de Vista

Villa Punto de Vista is the brainchild of US and European-trained architect David Konwiser. The villa is owned by the architect and his family.

The design concept was to fuse contemporary architecture and the luxury service-oriented use of the villa with an organic and never before seen form. The result was in essence (yet non-literally) the form of a luxury yacht with the wings of a tropical bird.

The ten-bedroom, fully staffed villa is run more like a small, private boutique hotel serving only one lucky group at a time. Amenities include a home theatre, a billiard table and game room as well as three bars, a pool and a one-of-a-kind Jacuzzi on the roof-deck.

The harmony between luxury and sustainability was fundamental in the design and development of Punto de Vista. Situated on a private 2.5 acre reserve of lush rainforest the jungle outside the villa teems with wildlife from three species of monkeys to sloths, toucans and other tropical birds. The villa only occupies 6% of the total footprint of the site and leaves the rest as a protected rainforest wonderland. The villa generates it’s own solar electrical power, solar-heats it’s water and even the Jacuzzi is heated by the sun!

The villa overlooks the Manuel Antonio Bay and it’s world famous national park is only a twenty-minute walk from the villa. A short five-minute walk leads you to a secluded golden sand beach as well as a surf break for the truly sport-oriented.
