This middle- and low-income rental housing project is planned as a LEED-certified facility.
The complex is designed to maximize the unique zoning conditions of the V-shaped, hexagonal site. The eight (8) story structure, with a below grade parking garage, includes preferred spots for low-emitting and fuel-efficient vehicles
The 110-unit development is comprised, principally, of 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, in accordance with HPD guidelines. The units will contain low-flow and low flush fixtures, designed to reduce the water use by 30%. The building also reduces the local heat island effect by using reflective surfaces and green roof structures. The plan contains residential bicycle storage, 11,000 SF of commercial space at street level and a small medical/ambulatory facility.
