A place to meet and exchange ideas

werner works as Manufacturers

The world of work is changing – this includes an open and modern working environment. Gärtner Internationale Möbel from Hamburg designed the rooms in Hammerbrook for the Hamburger Volksbank, providing places to meet and exchange ideas for seminars, training courses and events. The rooms are also suitable for flexible working. Nothing resembles the classic interiors of banking rooms here.

Office requirements have changed. They must adapt to younger workers who prefer less formality, who work in different structures and hierarchies, and who constantly work in different constellations, sometimes alone, sometimes in twos, sometimes in threes and sometimes in a large group. The Hamburger Volksbank is making this change happen with its ‘FreiRaum’ project.

'FreiRaum'

New features include opening up rooms, fitting soundproof panels under the ceilings, the option to separate the rooms with curtains and spacious lounge facilities, where people can meet in a relaxed atmosphere. A mix was used in a number of ways to reinforce this aspect – colours range from grey to blue, green and orange, materials include wood, plastic and metal, and a wide range of different types of furniture is used.

This includes the mobile basis S sideboards on castors and the locker cupboards by werner works, which were printed with motifs specially developed for the Hamburger Bank.
