A redesign of the entrance space of the Belfry tower in Bruges was necessary to make the visitors flow better and to add a freely accessible shoparea. To open up this beautiful vaulted space all the furniture elements against the walls were removed. A new fully transparent counter is added in the middle of the room to make a direct visual connection with the visitors and doesn’t block the view of the space. Along one of the walls a white stained wooden countertop is added to display the shop items. New indirect lighting is placed to light up the walls and the vaulted space. A new wooden oak floor is added to further brighten up the space.
