Built in the 1970s, featuring modern influences and rationalist touches, the facade design stood out for the abundance of windows, allowing generous sunlight into the apartment. SUMMARY: Located in a 1970s building, the apartment had an outdated layout that didn't make sense for the future residents, Carolina, architect from Angá, and Pedro, furniture designer from Estúdio Pedro Luna. Additionally, the more classic style of the apartment, with dark wood floors and plaster ceilings, didn't reflect the couple's personalities and design style. The project was developed by expanding the apartment's social space, integrating the living room and kitchen and creating a visually unique space by demolishing one of the bedrooms. Felco The layout of the three bathrooms, which make up the same nucleus in plan, was partially altered to bring more comfort to these environments. The volume of the toilet has been relocated to the entrance and, together with the white cobogós, forms a small hall. The renovation of this old apartment had economy as its main premise, aiming to enhance existing elements and adapt them to the residents' needs. The parquet flooring was restored, while the electrical, lighting, plumbing, and gas installations were kept exposed. Taking advantage of the apartment's independent structure, the walls between the kitchen and the living room were removed, creating an integrated space.
