The Nogueira Apartment was designed for a young business couple who wanted a versatile space, suitable for both entertaining guests and meeting the demands of their busy daily lives.
During the preliminary study phase, a comprehensive review of the apartment's flow was carried out to align the layout with the new concept established (view of the floor plans available at the end of the article). Starting with the incorporation of the balcony provided in the original plan, the social area was significantly expanded, creating a spacious space as a starting point and meeting point for family activities.
Then, the layout of the living room was determined by the selection of the sofa, a piece designed with great care by designer Larisa Diegoli, chosen with the purpose of harmoniously integrating the two spaces, unifying the TV and living rooms with a cohesive identity, in which comfort and sophistication are revealed as priorities.
The implementation of doors that mimic panels that surround the entire living room was adopted as a strategic solution, through which the opening and division of spaces are made possible with elegance and discretion.
It is behind these doors that the flow of the residence, rethought from a more assertive conceptual proposal, leads to the kitchen, the office, the private areas, the toilet and also to the service areas.
The kitchen was the only room where the clients expressed a desire for a bold touch. In response, the decision was made to integrate it into the living room, and folding doors were installed, which offer the option of isolation when needed. In addition, olive green was selected as the main finish for the cabinets, with the exception of the narrow shelving unit in the pantry, which is used to support books and food containers, which was made in walnut.

To meet the flexible needs of privacy or socializing according to each occasion, a counter with an opening upper panel was implemented, allowing for intimate moments around the food preparation area, as well as its complete isolation.
The main door that opens onto the apartment's entrance hall also features a mimicked panel that, in turn, integrates with the furniture that houses the bar and wine cellar – elements that stand out thanks to the profile of the residents, who They are great wine lovers and see value in the ease of access to these solutions as a means of promoting pleasant moments of celebration.
Just to the right of the bar, a buffet is located as a support point for table meals.
The undisputed protagonist in the project, the dining table seats 12 so that the couple can receive their guests comfortably. The grandeur of the set is achieved with the leather-covered chairs, signed by Studio Arti, and the Mush pendants, designed by renowned designer Jader Almeida.
To the left, adjacent to the wine cellar, an intimate space with two armchairs reveals itself as a possibility for refuge.
In an atmosphere of contemplation and pause, the privileged view of the city can be enjoyed through the permeable curtain, in a cozy experience washed down by a dose of coffee or a glass of wine in dim light, ideal situations for relaxation during or after work .
To complete the warm atmosphere, a special request comes into play: a fireplace with volcanic stones, which was strategically positioned on the sideboard that extends, from end to end, on the lower portion of the main panel in walnut veneer.
"With the aim of creating a sober, neutral, elegant and, at the same time, welcoming base, the architect selected natural walnut veneer as the main finish for the living room's carpentry, with an emphasis on the wall panels and cabinets. The exception is the wall that houses the access doors to other rooms, which were incorporated into an extensive slatted panel in soft gray lacquer."

In addition to accommodating a spacious cupboard, the slatted panel provides discreet access to the hallway of the private area, which is made up of three suites.
In order to facilitate the flow of service towards the private area without interfering with the social area, since this is a measure that did not exist in the original plan, the redefinition of the project's layout established an important modification. The adjustment was made by opening a door that currently connects the kitchen to the private hallway, promoting an independent flow that also leads to the laundry room and pantry.
Thus, with a small solution that has a big impact, circulation demands became more optimized, while still valuing an essential characteristic for the demands of a high-end residence such as this one.
Returning to the social context of the residence, the warmth of the walnut laminate is also present in the bathroom and office. Both spaces also have independent access from the large living room, developed from the aim of avoiding walls divided by doors with different materials.
From the access to the office, a fourth suite opens up. In this area, which is located behind the TV panel, the door was also inverted to provide even more privacy.
With an eye on practicality, it is worth mentioning that the project also includes the automation of curtains, blinds, audio system, lighting and fireplace operation.
Finally, it is possible to observe how the choices through which the apartment's concept was materialized were based on a neutral color palette, both in terms of chromaticity and in the complete and careful selection of textures and coverings.
This is evidenced not only by the constant presence of walnut wood in the laminated panels, cabinets and other furniture, but also by the texture of the raw Roman travertine marble, applied to the sideboard and the sofa's side tables.
Predominantly on the floor, the choice of Dekton Danae Cosentino was based on the shade closest possible to travertine, ensuring excellent visual harmony with the natural covering, however without giving up functional characteristics more suitable for application on this surface.
Reaffirming our commitment to timelessness in architecture, the choices also reflect our preference for natural materials. In addition to being noble elements, these materials ensure a lasting feeling of well-being over the years.
