The client, a young doctor who spent most of her time away from home, had clear objectives: she wanted a home that would bring her tranquility after an exhausting day at work, and the same space to informally host friends.
The challenge in organizing this 90m² apartment was, therefore, to combine intimacy with sociability. The apartment is divided into three sectors: social area, private area, and services.
The living area comprises the living room connected to the dining room and kitchen; the private area includes the bedrooms and bathrooms; and the services area consists solely of the laundry room.
Since the intention was to host friends in the most comfortable and welcoming manner without losing intimacy, the doors connecting the living area with the other parts of the apartment were designed to blend in. This way, guests, during parties, would feel as if the boundaries of the home were all within their sight.
