The organization has recently ceded part of the building to the City Council to be renewed as a cultural public facility. Managed by El Faro Catering since its early days as an event venue, El Baluarte de los Mártires boasts the finest sunset in Cádiz, matched only by the excellence of the events hosted in this unique location. The project stems from a search for honesty and trust that is represented by the use of straight lines and natural materials such as oak wood, white and black marble, and other finishes like copper or leather. The result is a warm and timeless interior connected to urban nature, which draws inspiration from Mies Van der Rohe's houses. The spaces are a series of white orthogonal volumes arranged following an east-west orientation, into which wooden niches are inserted that serve various functions depending on the case. This single-family house is located in the Region of Murcia, in a residential area of semidetached, modern and eminently white houses. From a distance, its clear and avant-garde appearance seeks to integrate the house with the rest of the surrounding dwellings. A travertine-effect porcelain tiles offer this clear and luminous vision, but in its proximity, it confers the texture, warmth and naturalness typical of stone materials.
