thank you mama

With a palette of fresh colours and a touch of fluor we want to transmit the energy and good humour of mama queen.  Thank you mama is a bold yet welcoming place, with a fresh and relaxed atmosphere, where you can feel at home.   Photographer: Katia Shtina Photographer: Katia Shtina Mama queen wanted its community to feel Thank you mama as their own home, that's why the closeness is present from the distribution of the space.  We created an atmosphere that revolves around mama's kitchen, where the bar is a big table where mama queen welcomes her customers like a big family.  A kitchen where she feeds you, hug you and make you laugh.Located in a bohemian neighbourhood in the heart of Lisbon, it aims to reach mod... Rooby Fancy Cafe

Rooby Café is located in the heart of Yerevan. The center of the 2000 years old city is an embodied history, so we decided to dilute the atmosphere with a modern corner. And yet, the saturated pink and eye-grabbing solutions only enhance the restrained environment, comprising a unique symphony of old and new.  So, the background of designing Rooby was creating a modern, Instagrammable space that would still be comfortable and relaxing. The secret behind creating such an environment is simple: colors, shapes, and emotions. When entering Rooby Cafe Cascade, one instantly looks at the “Rooby” neon sign surrounded by an arrangement of tropical plants: it's bright, modern, and stylish. That is the "wow" effect. Then, th... Cosmos café

Complex Task S+S interior design and architecture studio faced a challenge to create a stylistically dynamic and modern design for a children’s café Cosmos located at the temple of Moscow Soviet trade and exhibition – VDNKH Cosmos pavilion. This tremendous building is a proper cultural heritage with marble floors and pompous groin vault ceilings, which is genuinely a great space for inspiration and creativity but can hardly fit a children’s place concept.   Matching Solution To avoid a classical perception and realization of cosmic space theme, in their notable manner, S+S team applied some principles and patterns of a postmodern archaic Memphis Group’s style, smartly contrasting its vibrant colours a... Gaudenti 1971 - Po

Gaudenti 1971 is a new format that mixes the small, Italian fine pastry shop with a large international bakery. This was the starting point to define a space that could convey both respect for the traditional values of Italian culture and a strong drive for renewal. This premise translated into a careful renovation of existing elements, which were systematically integrated into the new decor. While a different graphic motif was designed for each venue, giving a new interpretation of historical decorative styles, the consistent use of velvet and blue wood ensures the brand is instantly recognizable. The original wood paneling from the early 1950s was renovated to lighten up overall decor and make it more delicate. In the same way, the ce... More

Gaudenti 1971 - Carlo Felice

This was the starting point to define a space that could convey both respect for the traditional values of Italian culture and a strong drive for renewal. This premise translated into a careful renovation of existing elements, which were systematically integrated into the new decor. Daarbast Cafe

Daarbast Café is about 376 square meters. The main goal of its interior design is creating social interaction among people. The possibility for establishing other branches of the café in future was considered in order to fulfill the owner’s request. Scaffolds are used as the main structure of design which grants an identity to the space. A part of the exterior wall is destroyed to benefit from sun light and natural views. The scaffold provided the context in which we could increase the area of the space and create visual transparency. Implementing the scaffolds not only impose low budget to the project but also create the possibility of various decoration fashions. There are different forms of settings in the café, made with scaffolds.Lead... More

T by Luxbite

The design of the new addition to the Luxbite family, patisserie "T by Luxbite", aims to show that the best things can come in small packages, just like their pastries within. The overall design focuses on the presentation and quality of the shop’s unique products; complementing them without overshadowing them. The shop's name is derived from their sale pastry of choice, tarts. Similarly, the meticulous interior design draws inspiration from the intricately crafted tarts. The shop's 19sqm ground floor corner location along Flinders Lane required a stronger emphasis on shop-front prominence, and maximizing the use of all available internal space. The owners required 5 separate purpose-built fridges to fit within the shop's footprint... Little Man Cafe

The Little Man Cafe is located along the main community strip in the quaint part of Seddon. The neighbourhood in this area has undergone a shift in pace over the last few years of a gentrifi ed nature which sees more cafes and small businesses sprouting up accompanying the infl ux of younger families moving into the area. The cafe occupies a corner lot once belonged to the old Post Off ice which has since moved a couple of spots up the street. The insides of the building was left severely dilapidated, however given its prime corner shop location and prominent street frontage, the new owners were keen to revitalise this empty shell of a building and in doing so, contribute to the growth of Victoria Street. Despite the long and narrow... More
