A coffee house built for work

6:45 Standart Coffee Acıbadem – a co-working coffee house: a café planned first of all as a place to come and work, carrying the rock'n'roll spirit of 6:45 Kaybedenler Kulübü into the working day.

6:45 Standart Coffee is the coffee concept of the 6:45 Kaybedenler Kulübü family – the bar, pub and live music brand that CO Mimarlık has designed since its very first venue. The brand takes its cues from rock'n'roll, the city and youth culture; Standart Coffee translates that language into coffee culture. Acıbadem is the third Standart Coffee the studio has designed: the first opened in Bolu in May 2023, a second project for İzmir was designed but not built, and the Acıbadem café in Istanbul followed in 2024 as the second to open.

Come and work here
Acıbadem was planned above all as a co-working café. Its message is written on the wall – "WORK HERE!" – and the plan follows it: long communal work tables with desk lamps and power, a glazed working room for small meetings and focused work, booths for two to four people and a covered terrace with work tables. The floor area is planned intensively, so that as many working places as possible fit in without the café losing its warmth.

Bringing the night into the day
The idea behind the brand is to carry a culture that belongs to the night into the rest of the day. In the morning Standart Coffee is a calm workspace, in the afternoon it becomes a meeting point, and in the evening it reflects the energetic spirit of 6:45.

Graphics, warm materials and light

Strong graphic surfaces set the tone: large orange walls carry typography and coordinates, while a green "WORK HERE!" wall marks the working zone. Black and white patterned floor tiles, warm timber, leather seating and the brand's signature lighting – pleated lanterns, ring chandeliers and desk lamps on long work tables – complete a design language that is repeatable across locations but never uniform.

One plan, many ways to work

Different seating types sit side by side so that every way of working has its place: solo work at the long tables, calls and meetings in the glazed room, informal talks in the booths and lounge chairs. Acıbadem's dense mix of offices and homes called for a plan that serves both freelancers who stay all day and groups arriving for a meeting.

Fitted to the neighbourhood

While staying true to the language developed for the brand, the Acıbadem café responds to its street: a glazed façade opens the interior to the pavement and a covered terrace extends the café outdoors, so the same strong identity is felt at a neighbourhood scale.
