The Dip Pavilion is conceived as an elemental architectural intervention within an existing residential landscape. Nanhu Place is located in Jiaxing in Zhejiang Province. Its design takes natural landscape, historical architecture and cultural background into full consideration. Nanhu Place in Jiaxing City is a pioneering project for the city. Developed by CR Land, Nanhu Place and the Nanhu Lakefront Enhancement Project are situated at the historic Nanhu Lake. When looking for somewhere to build their holiday home the decision was easy for our clients. Their heritage was strongly linked to the remote and rugged lands of the Mani Peninsula in Greece. It was the location on which they had their hearts set for a holiday retreat for their extended, multigenerational family. Starting from an empty lot, in a neighbourhood without a defined identity, the result of a suburban context resulting from the absence of territorial policies for decades on the outskirts of Lisbon, it's like starting a process of metamorphosis, without harming the surroundings.
