The Sibeliuspark in Oss has been transformed from a neglected, underutilized green space into a welcoming, lively, and diverse 25-hectare urban park. Designed by KCAP as landscape architect, the project features a nature-inclusive, climate-adaptive environment that integrates over 400 new trees, diverse programming for all ages, and integrated housing developments. For the new workplace of Sweco at WTC The Hague, Hal2 designed and realised a 1,100 m² office interior that does not merely reflect sustainability, it demonstrates it. In Oosterhout, we designed an apartment block with 52 apartments on a semi-submerged underground parking garage. This block is part of four large residential buildings along the Wilhelmina Canal in the Slotjes Midden reconstruction district. The various buildings along the canal each have their own plastic expression, but they share a common thread like a family resemblance. A world premiere for Kokon Architecture & Urban Design, Helder Vastgoed and Bruil: in January 2022, the upgrading of two dated apartment buildings in Den Helder, the Netherlands, started by means of 3D printed concrete balconies and widened galleries. The project will be carried out while apartments remain inhabited. Worldwide, this is the largest project to date in the field of 3D concrete printing and the first time that the technique will be applied this way. The transformation will extend the life span of the buildings by 50 years. On the corner of Akerstraat Noord / Heisterberg in Hoensbroek, municipality of Heerlen, a shop with six apartments above it has been realized after the demolition of a dilapidated building. The Akerstraat Noord is a somewhat messy street with buildings with a lot of diversity, both in mass and characteristic. The complex forms a powerful corner element, in which the obtuse angle of the subordinate street Heisterberg is emphatically accentuated in the building mass. In early 2016, the housing association has moved from four different locations to one new office in the inner city of Eindhoven. Since the demand for rental properties is large and there will be future developments in the Emmasingel district, the office in the Willemstraat will be transformed into a temporary residential building. The building accommodates vocational education and has been designed as an ensemble with the neighboring ROC on the Stappegoor Campus in Tilburg. The entrance is located on the side of the campus, which creates an omnidirectional building. Peter Pichler Architecture won an international invited competition for the design of a new residential tower complex of 40.000m² in Maarssen, Netherlands.The new complex consists of approx. 260 apartments, parking garages, public facilities, gym and a running track on the roof.
