Casa Pelagos is the new museum layout inaugurated last August in the WWF Oasis and Nature Reserve of Orbetello (Grosseto, Italy).
The project, realized thanks to the crucial support of Deutsche Bank and integrated into the framework of the WWF GenerAzione Mare campaign, is a sensory experience that immerses visitors in a ‘virtual dive’ into the depths of the sea. It is a significant initiative aimed at raising awareness and engaging the public in the biodiversity of the Tyrrhenian coast and the marine ecosystem of the Mediterranean.

Terrace with heating raised floor
After an initial inspection and an assessment by the designer, Radiafloor C proved to be the most suitable solution, compared to other types of systems, for the construction of the terrace of a new villa in Madonna di Campiglio. The quick installation times guaranteed by the completely dry installation and the absence of particular connections between the systems, since it only requires a power cable, made the designer and the client incline for the Newfloor product. Furthermore, the electricity supply allows the use of energy obtained from renewable sources, such as solar panels.

VERCELLI SYNTHETIC GRASS GARDEN
A design solution, both elegant and fun, the one proposed by Newfloor to set up two specular hanging gardens at a private country villa completely surrounded by the greenery of the Vercelli area in Piemonte.
In this town of ancient charm, rice production has a centuries-old connection. Architects opted for an island made of natural wood and artificial turf to create visual continuity between the private space and the surrounding rice fields, in contrast to the building’s symmetry on the two sides.

MAKING ROOM: HOUSING FOR A CHANGING AMERICA
Newfloor participated in the setting up of the National Building Museum of Washington the exhibition Making room: Housing for a Changing America – The open house, a project by the Architect Pierluigi Colombo of Clei with the collaboration of Resource Furniture USA.
For this ambitious project, Newfloor provided 3 different types of raised floor with ceramic tiles as top covering. In the museum, it has been created a multifunctional apartment at a scale of 1:1. The plan remained the same during the 9 months of exhibition, while the internal furniture changed every 3 months, depending on the various housing needs of the 3 different types of inhabitants.
