A design solution, both elegant and fun, the one proposed by Newfloor to set up two specular hanging gardens at a private country villa completely surrounded by the greenery of the Vercelli area in Piemonte.
In this town of ancient charm, rice production has a centuries-old connection. Architects opted for an island made of natural wood and artificial turf to create visual continuity between the private space and the surrounding rice fields, in contrast to the building’s symmetry on the two sides.
The intervention of about 160 square meters, supplied and manufactured by Newfloor, consists of 60×60 cm monolithic ceramic panels, with top covering in Synthetic Grass, blade H 35 mm, and PVC pedestals type Buzon PB-5, with 230/315 mm regulation.
Furthermore, coupling the synthetic grass finish to the X-floor panel, it is possible to obtain greater mechanical performances for environments with heavy loads. Also, painstaking installation work was required to ensure the curved cuts of the panels adhered to the wooden platform.
Designed for both indoors and outdoors, the floor is composed of high-density plastic polymer filaments sewn onto a draining support. The longer green filaments, typical of the turf, are surrounded by other shorter ones, ensuring a lasting and realistic final effect, both visually and tactilely. Available in various heights, with sizes of 25, 35 and 45 mm.
This results in an artificial garden that is pleasant to live in, easy to maintain, as well as hypoallergenic and not subjected to harmful insects.
