Arranging an interior space as bed, bath and dressing room

INTERIOR, A FURNITURE BLOCK AS A BORDER BETWEEN DAY

A multifunctional use of the available surface result in a spatial and functional interior where sleeping, storaging, bathing, dressing give rise to a continuous experience. The open space in the bathroom is used as well as circulation area for the bed and the access towards the dressing room. The glass door that restricts the dressing room acts also as door of the shower. An elevated circulation area next to the bed makes it possible to store bed sheetings underneath.

The central funiture block (built around a bearing wall) distinguishes the bright day entity (badroom) of the warm oak wooden night entity and provides bad and bed room of the necessary storage. Circles on the wall in the bed room illustrate the sleeping curve which ends in the day part of the room. Sawn circles in the bedside, in the movable laundery furniture box, for the heating system, provide the necessary air circulation and ventilation. The extrapolation of the round openings into the dressing room results in diversified storage options.
