AlterEgo is a square based seating consisting of a seemingly compact structure in a single color, which splits through simple steps into two smaller cubes in different color appearance, revealing its qualities as a versatile product with multiple identities. The starting object is coated in black soft leather and presents two diagonal divisions on the top. You can split these diagonals obtaining four triangle based seatings, hinged two by two on one vertical side revealing the inner light color in contrast with the dark external one, which can be recomposed into two perfectly cubic seatings. Some magnets have been placed on the structure, hidden under the leather coating, to keep the choosen configuration in place. The AlterEgo modular seating, as the name itself states, lets you play with the geometry of its forms, revealing how a simple object may contain additional "lives" on the inside, other aesthetic possibilities and freedom of use, and how the result of its transformation is more than the sum of its parts.
