The Q9 was inspired by Rietveld's 1918 'Red and Blue Chair', such that it too is comprised of two flat planes suspended by an Eastern Maple frame. Our colour palette was also inspired by Rietveld, so the Q9 comes in bright, primary colours as well as chartreuse and charcoal, and can be made in custom hardwoods such as teak and black walnut. The coolest feature of the Q9 is its innovative pivoting back rest, which means the chair back will move with you as you change positions + postures during different activities. This is made possible by a single threaded rod through the back of the chair, which can be tightened or loosened for more or less upright seating. The Q9 is completely flat packable for easy shipping, and comes with an Oscar&Kennedy brand on its back crossbar.

The Architect's Desk Set is comprised of a 47x29x30 desk and a Q9 chair with 4 built-in, underseat storage boxes. Both desk and chair were built with storing blueprints, cutting mats and poster tubes in mind- tools of the trade that can be difficult to store in small spaces. Built to last, both desk and chair are Eastern Maple and laminated in bright green and charcoal coloured Formica. This set is also flat packable for easy shipping.
