Canvë is the porcelain stoneware collection for indoor and outdoor tiles that NovaBell presents at the 2025 edition of Cersaie in Bologna.
Developed in collaboration with Danilo Ramazzotti, the collection was created with the aim of translating the values of Italian ceramic craftsmanship into a highly performing industrial surface. The project draws inspiration from Ramazzotti’s three iconic lines – Argille Nobili, Variegato, and Pietrame – reinterpreting their material essence in a contemporary, functional design key. It is not a handcrafted replica, but rather a cultural and technological transformation: the uniqueness of gesture, the beauty of imperfection, and the depth of matter are reimagined through the potential of porcelain stoneware.
Canvë’s distinctive feature is its continuous three-dimensional texture and authentic textured appearance, featuring patterning synchronised with the structure and raised inclusions. Stone chips and micro-facets create depth and movement; irregular color variations evoke the richness of terracotta and natural stone. With balance and naturalness, the collection achieves the highest fidelity to the material that inspired it, without excess. Canvë is offered in seven colors, three thicknesses, and seven formats, including the Oversize format that makes it possible to clad not only floors and walls but also furniture across all environments. Conceived for maximum versatility, Canvë adapts to both residential and public spaces, in indoor and outdoor contexts, and pairs seamlessly with wood, metal, glass, and textiles.
