If optical components, such as sensors or panels assembled with LEDs shall be coated for the protection against moisture, conformal coatings are used that ensure on the one hand the electrical isolation under the different atmospheric conditions and on the other hand exhibit low yellowing tendency under this stress.
ELPEGUARD® conformal coatings can be applied with the common machines for the selective coating of electronical assemblies.
The conformal coating ELPEGUARD® SL 1307 and the thick-film lacquer TWIN-CURE® DSL 1600 E are already successfully used in a wide range of applications, for example on display boards of hotels, stores and stadiums or in traffic information systems.
Fast drying at room temperature, easy repair and special adjustments for speficic tasks – ELPEGUARD® SL 1307 offers for every application a good solution. This yellowing resistant conformal coating can be easily soldered through for repair purposes or removed with the thinner.
The ELPEGUARD thick-film lacquer TWIN-CURE® DSL 1600 E is an elastical, UV curing, solvent-free system with high transparency and yellowing resistance and is therefore entirely suitable for the use in optoelectronics. It is distinguished by excellent mechanical, chemical and climatical resistances. By a second curing mechanism the lacquer cures also in shade areas without additional tempering.
