Crinoline is an innovation in taste, an opening, a product that encapsulates all of the sensitivity of a team working in collaboration with the B&B Italia Research and Development Centre. The company ventured from Italy to the Far East with an aluminum structure that is light, recyclable, resistant, completely rustproof, and therefore perfect for outdoor use. Everything concerning the weave was changed. The creative process took shape through comparisons with the strengths and weaknesses of manual techniques and love for these traditional arts. Expert weavers tried time and again, but the perfect result escaped them.

The Crinoline collection, includes small armchairs, armchairs, chairs, a stool, and a table. The collection features designs in different shapes and heights, with polyethylene fiber interlacing joined by natural or bronze abaca. The use of abaca fiber makes the products suitable for indoor, covered outdoor spaces, or verandas.
Chairs and armchairs by Crinoline
Small armchairs, armchairs, chairs, and a stool are designed in several different shapes and heights. The polyethylene fiber interlacing is joined by natural or bronze abaca. The weave is made out of abaca fiber: being a natural material, the product is suitable for indoors, covered outdoor spaces, or verandas.

Design inspiration
Much like the elegant dresses that women wore in the 1800s, which had full, bell-shaped skirts held by crinolines, which were rigid underskirt garments. These dresses were like spectacular “micro-architectures” that were commonly seen in living rooms everywhere. The chairs in the Crinoline collection are designed to reflect this elegant look: the wide curve of the base is repeated in the seat and the curve of the backrest. Patricia described the soft lines of the series, stating, “The curved part gives it a double-shell silhouette.” The Crinoline outdoor chairs and armchairs are comfortable, feminine, and romantic.

This version of the table is also designed to hold a beach umbrella in the center.
