Green walls (also known as living walls and vertical wall gardens) bring visual impact to vertical spaces and benefits for the environment as well as our health. But as any architect, designer or developer knows, a green wall’s success depends on how well it’s planned, constructed, watered and maintained.
With proper care, green wall structures can last up to 25 years. Yet for living architecture to thrive, you need specialist advice and support. Luckily, you’re in the right place.
Industry leaders
Over the years, Fytogreen has installed flourishing vertical gardens in all sorts of shapes and sizes. In fact, we’re well-known as the industry leaders in lightweight sustainable green walls. Our nursery of 1,500 species is unmatched in Australia, as is our botanical expertise. So you can trust that your planting combination will be biodiverse and ecologically sustainable while meeting your design intent.
A Fytogreen wall offers year round interest and is not just impressive from the outset but promises to look and function even more beautifully over time.
Species selected for sustainability
With panels pre-grown in our nursery, you get vibrant coverage from day one, and from there our maintenance team takes care of your green wall’s continued success. But for months before installation, our botanists and designers are intently testing (amongst other things) sunshine hours, light intensity, wind and the implication of fractal factors, supplementary lighting and air exchange to ensure your vertical garden grows from strength to strength.
FytoFelt - a nature based sustainable green wall
Unlike the organic media traditionally used in living wall systems, FytoFelt features a pH neutral growing medium which won’t become moisture laden, rot, degrade or slump.
These Australian Made green wall modules are manufactured at the Fytogreen head office. The pocket system provide perfect growing conditions for a wide variety of plants, allows plants to be watered evenly without constraint, combined with our specialised growing medium, roots to grow directly into the felt and create a stable growing environment.
