The Gessi 316 electronic tap collection offers versatility with its sensor placement options. The sensor can be integrated into the tap body, the dispensing spout, or even a separate remote plate.  In the first two cases, simply approaching or moving hands activates or deactivates the water flow. The remote sensor offers a touchless experience, requiring only a wave of a hand for activation.

Design and sustainability

Gessi 316 embodies the concept of dressing water in a perfect outfit. The collection prioritizes clean lines, elegance, and a focus on materials. AISI 316L stainless steel provides durability, strength, and a contemporary aesthetic. This commitment to sustainability is further reflected in the material's low carbon content and 100% recyclability.

Gessi's dedication to research and development is evident in their choice of AISI 316L stainless steel. This meticulous approach extends to the processing of materials, contributing to a sustainable economy and reduced waste. The "beyond" philosophy defines this collection, where the material's elegance and strength meet an eclectic style, resulting in an efficient product.

Details

The cool beauty of steel is complemented by a variety of textures (Trame, Intreccio, Cesello, Meccanica) that add warmth and depth through an interplay of light and shadow.  These textures pay homage to Italy's rich heritage in textiles (Trame), leather goods (Intreccio), and craftsmanship (Cesello). Meccanica offers a touch of industrial chic with its more pronounced texture.

Finishes

Gessi 316 caters to diverse preferences with a selection of finishes. Choose from brushed steel, brushed black metal, brushed copper, or the innovative brushed warm bronze. The latest addition is the black matte finish, available for all textures except Trame.

Conversion single-family house

Built between 1978 and 1982, a single-family house required adaptation for its new residents. The house is part of a design plan that restricts new extensions. The existing internal structure, with many dark and small rooms, was no longer contemporary. The renovation aimed to create harmonious and open spaces that adhered to modern energy efficiency standards.

The facade was covered with new external thermal insulation. A fine-grained, felted modeling plaster harmonizes with the new oiled wooden windows. Colored awnings in aubergine and light green accentuate the building and play with the light in the rooms. The project incorporated Gessi 316 taps throughout the house and complements the interior with its technological advancements. All furniture, ceilings, and floors are crafted from white oiled spruce, contrasting with the exposed concrete elements and the black-colored anhydrite floors.

New house in San Nazzaro

This unique dwelling, designed for a family of four, integrates with its surroundings. The irregular outer shape reflects the plot's contours and mandated setbacks. The building's polygonal exterior and the terrain's morphology create an archaic rock-like presence. This impression is further accentuated by the rough, washed concrete surfaces that naturally darken with age. Climbing plants adorn the facades, and small, square windows add to the rustic charm. Inner courtyards, strategically placed on the valley side, contribute to natural light on this floor. The lower level houses a utility room, storage, and technical rooms, along with a secondary entrance and garden access.

The three-story layout offers distinct experiences on each level. The upper floor features the entrance, a combined living-dining room with an open kitchen, and breathtaking views. Two sides boast fully glazed facades facing the uphill and downhill courtyards, while the remaining walls are closed for privacy. This home with top-of-the-line bath fixtures from Gessi complements the aesthetic. The mountain-side entrance courtyard shields the house from street views while maximizing natural light and direct sunlight for the living space.

Two-family house in Emmen

Integrating a new two-family house into an established neighborhood demanded a design that balanced aesthetics with functionality for each unit. The solution was a two-story structure with an attic, seamlessly blending with surrounding buildings. Open floor plans and east-west orientation ensured ample natural light, while playful round openings added a touch of whimsy. Kitchens, crucial for daily life, require a balance of style and practicality. Gessi 316 taps proved to be the ideal choice. Their minimalist design echoed the overall aesthetic while offering a choice between touchless or traditional handle functionality to suit diverse user preferences. Crafted from AISI 316L stainless steel, these taps ensured exceptional durability in a high-traffic area. Additionally, a range of finishes like brushed steel or brushed warm bronze allowed for further personalization. Ultimately, Gessi 316 taps became a key element in achieving a successful blend of modern design, functionality, and long-lasting performance within the two-family house kitchens.
