i-MESH is a versatile non-woven mesh made from advanced mineral and synthetic yarns, stabilized by a resin system, designed for both indoor and outdoor applications, including architecture, retail, scenography, and furniture.

Indoors, it serves as partitions, ceilings, light screens, projection surfaces, and for various event setups. Outdoors, it is primarily used for architectural façades. Its composition of carbon, glass, basalt, zylon, and technora fibers allows for effective light and solar shading, enhancing its lightweight and structural benefits.

Key technical features

- Adjustable solar protection through variable mesh openings
- Low thermal conductivity to inhibit heat transfer
- High mechanical strength and excellent tensile durability
- Incombustibility and effective thermal insulation
- Noise reduction
- Quick, cost-efficient installation due to lightweight and flexible material.

i-MESH comprises two components: fibers and a thermoplastic polymer. Utilizing the durability and unique properties of six fiber types—four of which are mineral—this polymer, measuring 2/10 mm, maintains its characteristics during production and can be efficiently separated for recycling later.

Design process and installation

The design process for i-MESH is iterative, enhanced by computational methods that replace traditional intuitive approaches. This allows to generate and evaluate thousands of design options based on specific performance criteria. While manufacturing these high-tech materials requires significant energy and the components are often sourced far from our facilities, the lightweight nature of i-MESH minimizes transportation costs and energy use. Installation typically requires locally sourced hardware, such as wood or metal, promoting local economies and reducing CO2 emissions.
