Composite materials

Kareline® materials are the third generation natural fibre composites with superior technical performance. They have been specifically designed for injection moulding. The materials combine the excellent properties of cellulose fibres and thermoplastics in a new and innovative way, and are the perfect choice for manufacturing green products that comply with environmental and recycling requirements.

Some of the competitive advantages of using Kareline® natural fibre composites include:

- Appearance & ease of design: the end products can be designed from the viewpoint of usability and aesthetics (thin and thick walls in the same product, minimal shrinkage, natural effects, smooth and dry to the touch surface)

- Technical superiority: excellent characteristic strength and increased stiffness, no sink marks or internal stresses, no abrasive fillers (minimal wearing of tools and machines), production efficiency due to shorter cycle time, adjustable acoustic properties, various surface treatment possibilities

- Environmental aspect: reduction of GHG-emissions, very favourable CO2 balance and ecological footprint, no competition with human food production resources
