The construction
In 2019, the new section of the London School of Economics & Political Science Campus was completed. The highest and largest department with 4000 m² of solid oak, divided into atrium, reading areas, auditorium and stairs. The building is centrally located in Bloomsbury, London.
Choice of floor solution
HØRNING's Solid Line in FSC certified oak, which was chosen for the project when indoor climate was a high priority. Solid Line is "Indoor Air Comfort Gold" certified, as it contributes to a healthy indoor climate and at the same time focuses on quality. For uniformity in finish and installation speed, Solid Line Oak is produced as a finished panel. Expressive and robust, Solid Line is an incredibly durable and suitable for areas with heavy foot traffic.
