PAVATHERM by SOPREMA is a pressure-resistant, vapour-permeable thermal insulation board made from wood fibre. Part of the PAVATEX range, it is suitable for use in roofs, walls, facades, and floors, including beneath wet or dry screeds. The boards provide thermal insulation and heat-storage capacity, helping to reduce winter heat loss and limit summer overheating, with a declared thermal conductivity of 0.038 W/m·K.
Its wood-fibre composition provides a renewable, bio-based alternative to conventional insulation materials, while its vapour-permeable properties support moisture movement through the building envelope. PAVATHERM carries the natureplus® environmental quality label and is associated with PEFC-certified timber sourcing. A third-party-verified Environmental Product Declaration provides quantified information on its life-cycle environmental impacts. By improving the thermal performance of the building envelope, the insulation can also help reduce operational energy demand for heating and cooling.
