Solaris is a construction product with two main functions: it is a photovoltaic panel generating energy from the sun but also a perfectly integrated cladding system enveloping and protecting the building underneath. The innovation here focuses on the fully hiding of photovoltaic cells inside the solar panel used as cladding system. With the development of Solaris, maximal productivity is no more the driving force and providing architects with a photovoltaic cladding system, aesthetic and active, designed with the best photovoltaic and glass technologies is our best way to support their creativity.

The Solaris panel has been designed by Huggenbergerfries Architekten for the residential project of the same name in Zürich. It has been developed with the support of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Ertex Solar. The cladding system has been developed by GFT Fassaden.
