SSQ Riverstone Phyllite, as the name suggests, is technically a phyllite – the next step in the geological metamorphic process of slate. It is harder, denser and stronger than regular slate. Sourced from Argentina, Riverstone’s water absorption rate tests at 0.1%, the lowest absorption rate known in the slate world, which makes it particularly suitable to temperate regions where high rainfall and freezing winter temperatures are common.
