Gustafs Veneered Wood Panels for walls and ceilings covered in natural wood is a challenge involving craftsmanship and experience. Most of Gustafs products are based on a fiber gypsum board which has very good properties regarding both fire safety and acoustics.
The acoustic wood panel is less sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity which in turn maintains the panels’ linearity over time. This unique combination contributes to a wall cladding panel suited for applications not only in large areas but also in a wide variety of demanding situations.

Royal College Of Music - Architecture And Music In Harmony
The Royal College of Music in Stockholm features new concert halls designed by AIX architects, acoustician Jan-Inge Gustafsson, and Gustafs. The halls use Gustafs wooden panels in innovative ways to achieve a distinct color scheme and excellent acoustics. The main hall features red box elements with integrated lighting, while the chamber hall uses blue panels and a gold laminate surface. The Black Box is clad in black Gustafs panels. All elements are designed to meet the college's strict acoustic requirements.
FOJAB built Sweden's most modern courthouse in Lund. Designed for security and public comfort, the building integrates with the park and cityscape. Copper, glass, and limestone blend with warm wood inside. Separate entrances manage court flow, while open public areas offer park views. Special features include a reflecting water feature and staff roof terraces. Staff canteens enjoy adjoining roof terraces featuring Gustaf Scandinavia panels and joinery.
The new cafe interior takes inspiration from the building's 1930s origins, featuring clean lines, warm colors, and high-quality materials like oak veneer, brass accents, and leather seating. Modern techniques ensure functionality, with Gustafs acoustic tiles lining the ceilings and walls. Due to the cafe's radio broadcasting, the design prioritizes acoustics, using top-rated materials for sound insulation, attenuation, and absorption. The design echoes the building's entrance columns and uses golden circles in the ceiling to create a sense of flow. A replica doorway maintains the historical look while meeting modern needs. A double-glazed partition reduces noise from the street.
