The state-of-the-art BBC Media Village at White City, London is benefitting from an outstanding combination of high performance blended with contemporary good looks thanks to our Designpanel Micro. Designpanel was chosen as it offers a monolithic, smooth appearance to ceilings and walls with no visible joints between the panels.
It also provides excellent acoustic performance to challenging standards, which have been essential for this project due to the high ceiling heights and open spaces.
To meet the acoustic requirements, Micro perforation was specified and approved by the acoustic consultants Buro Happold. For the special design of the walls, the Designpanels were manufactured in a custom 1000×1500 mm size with a 3 band perforation pattern.
