As businesses increasingly place greater emphasis on brand identity and corporate image, the requirement we received was not simply to create an office building, but to establish a representative space — one that reflects the company’s identity while supporting communication, interaction, and connection. The project is therefore envisioned as a multifunctional touchpoint : a place for working, welcoming partners, and hosting events.
For the façade, rather than relying on complex formal elements, our design focuses on the vertical expression of the building. A system of fins is introduced, combined with an interplay of solid and void surfaces to create a harmonious rhythm across the building mass. This approach gives the architecture greater depth while establishing a timeless and distinctive identity that can endure over time.
Unlike traditional entrance lobbies, which are often perceived as spaces to simply “pass through,” we aim to redefine the lobby as a place where people are encouraged to “stay.” The lobby is therefore conceived with the atmosphere of a café–restaurant, providing partners with a more relaxed environment for meetings and informal exchanges. Warm timber finishes are combined with soft lighting, while the inherent flexibility of curved timber panels is utilized to resolve the irregular technical column-and-wall conditions of the existing space. By balancing the proportions of these architectural elements, the design introduces softness and continuity throughout the interior, creating an environment that feels approachable while maintaining the professionalism expected of a corporate setting.
The second floor is designed as an open and multifunctional space, allowing it to be easily transformed to accommodate different purposes, including seminars, events, and standing receptions such as networking sessions or buffets. Through a neutral design language and a flexible spatial layout, the space can adapt to a variety of scenarios while maintaining a consistent aesthetic and overall design coherence. Flexibility is placed at the core of the design, rather than defining the space through a single fixed function.
We hope that the overall project demonstrates a clear balance between representation and experience. Behind this outcome is a deliberate process of spatial planning and design considerations aimed at responding to the Client’s requirements while integrating clear design intentions that reflect a thoughtful and professional approach to the discipline.
