In a highly dense urban residence, the designer avoids layering the space with formal gestures, instead reshaping daily life through order and emptiness. Grounded in a minimalist vocabulary, the project carefully orchestrates proportion, light, and materiality to create a living environment where emotions can gradually settle. Through a subtractive design approach, spatial integration and volumetric restraint establish a residence that is clear, composed, and rich in a sense of order.

The elevation design integrates storage systems seamlessly into the walls, using clean, planar lines to reduce visual interference while maintaining a pure spatial expression through precise control of proportion and negative space. In terms of materiality, warm gray finishes, natural wood panels, and a stone base form layered relationships where rational structure and organic texture coexist, expressing a spatial language that balances strength and softness.

The public area is organized around an open-plan layout, linking the living room, dining area, and storage functions while minimizing solid partitions to maintain continuity in movement and sightlines, enhancing spatial permeability and flexibility. The living area and the reading/work desk form two horizontally extended axes, while a dark volume and slender column intervene vertically, stabilizing the visual center and subtly defining circulation. The desk serves not only as a functional interface but also as a symbol of spatial order, connecting the sofa, bookshelf, and window view into a continuous and flowing domestic landscape. Within a low-saturation palette, the space cultivates a calm and restrained atmosphere that responds not only to functional needs but also to the emotional states and rhythms of its inhabitants, presenting a home that embodies both contemporary aesthetics and a sense of grounded serenity.
