Casa Claves emerges from the meeting of two distinct identities that, like the treble and bass clefs, complement each other to bring music to life. The project begins with the understanding that each resident has their own essence, interests, and way of living, seeking to transform these particularities into an architecture capable of balancing togetherness, privacy, and identity.
The spacious, integrated environments, large openings, and abundant natural light establish a fluid relationship between the interior and exterior spaces. Organic forms, present in the volumes, circulation paths, and interior elements, soften the architecture and guide residents naturally, creating spaces that are welcoming, light, and human.
The house was designed to welcome, share, create memories, and accompany the dynamics of a family composed of a classical pianist, a businessman passionate about fishing, and their three children. This connection with the residents' stories is especially expressed through the “Escama” brise soleil, designed by TTAD and crafted by CRJ Esquadrias. Inspired by fish scales, the element was developed as an original solution for solar protection and privacy, bringing movement to the façade while translating the client's passion for fishing into architecture.
Its execution required a collaborative development process involving drawings, detailed design, prototypes, testing, and on-site evaluations. More than a decorative component, the brise materializes a family memory and demonstrates how architecture can transform personal affections into constructive solutions.
Another distinctive element is the blue stone, selected in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim for its unique tone. Used both in an outdoor area and in the couple's bathroom, it establishes continuity between the spaces and reinforces the material identity of the residence.
The spatial configuration was organized across three levels. The main level concentrates the social areas — living room, piano, gourmet area, veranda, and pool — connected by large openings that disappear behind the walls when fully opened. This allows the spaces to function either as one continuous environment or independently, according to the needs of everyday life. The lower level houses the client's studio, laundry, and garage, while the upper floor contains the private areas, with the children's bedrooms and the couple's suite.
In the master suite, a skylight illuminates the walk-in closet, while the double bathroom emphasizes natural light and the presence of the blue stone. Throughout the house, the spatial and constructive decisions reflect music, fishing, family life, and moments of retreat, creating an architecture that is distinctive, functional, and deeply connected to the lives of its residents.
