The year-long renovation included a careful analysis of the existing architectural features, with a focus on enhancing natural light and connecting the apartment with the private garden, working on both the landscape and the interiors and also including carefully planned modifications to the facades to improve the interaction between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The apartment features a long corridor that divides the house into two sections: the more private sleeping area and the living area. The corridor ends with a large walk-in closet hidden behind a mirrored wall which contributes to a sense of spaciousness by effectively doubling the size of the corridor itself and accentuating its geometric features. The corridor is equipped with large built-in closets, storage spaces and a large laundry room, thus surpassing its simple distribution function.

The sleeping area is designed to provide privacy while the living area opens to the garden creating a bright and welcoming environment.

The apartment has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, including a guest bathroom located near the entrance to ensure a high level of comfort. The large living room, together with the garden to which it opens through three large French doors, forms the core of the house: it is a large open space in which the separation between the kitchen and the living area is achieved with a wall equipped with two arched openings, reflecting the ornamental motifs of the building's facade. This creates a filter between the two areas while maintaining communication within each other. This architectural solution creates visual continuity making the spaces fluid and allowing maximum natural lighting in every part of the living room.

Italian ceramics and an oak parquet installed in different patterns were chosen as the main materials, while vein-cut Roman travertine was laid around the kitchen, outside and on the entrance steps. In the living room the suspended ceiling was removed to reveal the ancient brick vaults: these were carefully restored and helped distinguish this area from the kitchen, enriching the apartment with a new element and increasing the height of the ceilings.

The renovation profoundly reconfigured the house, eliminating previous interventions that had compromised its functionality and historical memory, while providing comfortable spaces for the client thanks to the new layout and a significant technological upgrade
