We are in Bari, where the Domvs MD project has taken shape by the K1 Artstudio. The designers, Arch. Stefano Carlone and Designer Vincenzo Berlingerio, planned the complete restyling of the flat through elegant tailoring that made possible to make the most of the rooms.
The main change was the reorganisation of the living room together with the fusion of two adjacent rooms. By eliminating the partition between these rooms, a large room was created and reorganised thanks to a custom-made wardrobe. This element created a new boundary between the two bedrooms, which remain independent but at the same time connected through a passage in the wardrobe.
Visual and chromatic continuity is one of the main features of this project. The neutral colours of the walls are emphasised by the diagonal cut of the sage green ceiling. In addition, the volume of the sleeping area has been elegantly decorated with wallpaper that makes the space look cosy and comfortable.
Here, the interior doors take on a role that goes beyond the simple division of space, presenting themselves sometimes as a decorative element and sometimes as a natural continuation of the volumetric space. Ermetika's xREVERx, a reversible frameless door system, is the right ally for solving the various design requirements of a project.
The versatility of this product meant that the door connected to the corridor could be part of the wallpapered partition without interrupting the design pattern in any way. Also, with the xREVERx, the entrance to the utility room was made completely invisible by treating the surface of the door panel with the same finish and colour as the living room wall.
Analysing this project in detail, it is possible to confirm the extreme versatility of Ermetika products, that consent each opening to be customised to its fullest potential, an increasingly fundamental requirement in interior design projects.
