Located in Ekali, Athens, Estia House is a 580 sq.m. private residence undergoing a complete interior transformation, introducing a contemporary architectural identity tailored to the lifestyle of a family of four. The redesign explores the relationship between materiality, light, and spatial continuity, balancing functionality, comfort, and understated luxury.
At the heart of the architectural concept lies a suspended fireplace, descending from the ceiling to define the main living area. Conceived as a sculptural focal point, it establishes a central gathering space that encourages connection and interaction, shaping the spatial organization of the residence.
A carefully curated palette of natural materials, dark timber finishes, earthy tones, and textured stone surfaces creates a warm and cohesive interior. Bespoke architectural elements, integrated lighting, and refined detailing establish visual continuity throughout the residence, while natural light enhances the depth and character of each space.
The relationship between interior spaces and nature is further emphasized through private planted courtyards, introducing greenery, daylight, and a sense of tranquility into the living environment.
Beyond the primary residential spaces, the villa incorporates a dedicated wellness and leisure area, featuring an indoor swimming pool, a private bar, a sauna, and a playroom. Designed for year-round use, these spaces extend the everyday living experience, offering opportunities for relaxation, recreation, and social interaction.
The result is a contemporary residential interior where architectural clarity, natural materials, and thoughtful spatial design come together to create a timeless and deeply personal living environment
