Rustic lightness with a view

Arkan Zeytinoglu Architects as Interior Architects

The decoration and fitting-out of the hotel rooms reflects specific aspects of the landscape. The natural power of materials such as spruce, loden, leather, linen, wool and animal skins plays a dominant role. The regional nature of the products is emphasised as is the tactile quality of the natural and honestly produced materials. Comfort and warmth are the fundamental qualities of the hotel bedrooms.

A moment of strength – the entrance You enter a large and clearly structured entrance area that functions as an internal distributor for the hotel. An elongated reception area accompanies the guests to the guest lifts that bring them to the bedroom floors and the wellness circulation areas, they are clearly positioned opposite the reception and serve to structure the interior.

Alpine bar The hotel’s lobby bar is the centre point, its powerful materiality makes a clear statement: a solid wooden block that interrupts the space. “Space-in-a-space” situations for the fireplace room and the cigar lounge create intimate zones for guests to withdraw to, where they feel protected by the warmth exuded by the wood.

Pool area The pool area is bathed in sunshine; it opens into the wellness garden and has a direct connection to the spa reception area. Excitement and relaxation for body and soul – the expectations of each guest range from books and bed, ski runs and a gourmet restaurant, a evening playing billiards, rainy days with breakfast in bed and the experience of mountain peaks at sunrise. A hotel that can satisfy many of these very different needs will always attract guests. The activity and nature hotel in Schladming offers a home for all.
