Land available in the dense tangle of cities only reveals a dynamic that seems to be reaching its limit, whether in urban, social or economic terms. The irrationality of the plot layout and the absence of use in such dense areas seems absurd, but it may also be an opportunity. Thus, the old parking lots, of very precarious constructions, become possible spaces. Is it possible that parking lots give way to space when living in the city? Is it possible to glimpse a new imaginary of urban life?
In this context, by taking symbolically and physically the place of an old parking lot, the Bem Viver General Jardim Building, in the central area of São Paulo, enjoys an urban condition already constituted well invites the dynamics of the city within its limits, as a gap that opens amid the mass built of the great metropolis. Through an architectural party that prioritizes the flexibility of the ground floor and maximum constructive potential, a transition table is constituted between the laminar volume of housing and the fluid dynamics of the public floor, which allows the extension of urban life to its interior.
