Gun House

tIPS ARCHITECTS as Architects

To restore an attic placed on the line of the old town center of Crema. Interesting context, birds eye views on the story of the city, that developed itself by layering, juxtapositions and elevations one above others and a tale tied to the second world war and the real life of a Partisan gripped on the balcony of this house, play like fundamental aspects in the planning itinerary.

Interior disposition with following one another spaces to move oneself quickly (reconnaissance strategy), different position and shapes of windows (visual strategy), dimensions of rooms custom-made to hold every specific use (logistic strategy), characterize this place. Slopes, counter slopes, sudden wheelies of the roof light up both the domestic spaces and the historical skyline. "My house? It's a gun!"
