Haonjae, "house where warm warmth and coziness stay," is a four-story house, including a terrace. Located on a land facing two large trees and a shelter, the house is designed to escape from busy daily life and enjoy a quiet and relaxed life.

The space is designed to have a vertical expansion and empty space. We wanted to enrich natural light through high ceilings and large windows, and to realize a visual sense of space and minimalism by using understated finishing colors.

Focusing on practicality and space utilization, the first floor consisted of a woodbench on the porch and a storage space next to the stairs, while the stairs were equipped with a warm-textured flooring finish and a 75cm handrail on the solid white stair railing to provide both safety and aesthetics. Trimless lighting was elaborately embedded in the wall to create an invisible aesthetics of the lighting frame.

The second floor is a shared space where families and guests can stay together, and it is designed with an LDK structure in which the kitchen and living room are naturally connected. This maximizes the sense of expansion of the space and emphasizes the flow of space by converting the floor finish from the floor to tiles.

In addition, the 4-m-long Travertine Island and the open kitchen serve as the centerpiece of the space. The most impressive element here is the open ceiling, which opens up to the third floor, combining high ceilings above the dining area with large skylights, and George Nelson's lighting and sensual perforated partitions for a gallery-like atmosphere.

The third floor is divided into two private zones for children and parents, and consists of a children's zone with a playroom, bedroom, and bathroom, and a master zone with a dressing room, powder room, bedroom and bathroom.

The child's bathroom uses colorful terazo tiles and cute pattern tiles for added cheerful sensibility.

Specifically, the master bedroom is designed with a void structure that overlooks the dining space on the second floor, giving a sense of connection between the spaces, and in the Travertine powder room consisting of transparent glass walls and hanging mirrors, we wanted to naturally draw our gaze over the glass to the second floor. Clear glass and blue patterns of Travertine are combined to add sophistication.

The rooftop consists of a terrace and a rooftop, which is equipped with a louver ceiling where sunlight and shade can be enjoyed, a sink for outdoors, and a bathroom dedicated to dogs to accommodate a variety of lifestyles.
