High walk Valencia seaport

The seaside promenade was built adhering to the new usage given to Valencia’s port in 2007, when it held the America's Cup. In this construction, all the needs required by this sporting event were solved, as well as its future functionality. It is based on a walkway eight hundred metres in lenght by ten in width, consisting of large prefabricated concrete slabs sitting at top the dam, which works as a foundation layer in order to occupy the least space possible.

A set of steel modules on the lower part work as cantilever support while at the same time allow space for shops, warehouses or toilets. The car park is also set in this area, giving easy access through the stairs to the promenade on the upper part. A restaurant made of steel and glass is placed on an end, protruding over the sea where you can enjoy a magnificent view both of the Malvarrosa beach and the sailing canal on the marina.
