The hotel is part of Yves Lion’s « Parc Habité » project in the Euroméditerrannée area. The park, along with the hotel, refers to a kind of inhabited cliff. This cliff composes a mineral setting on its external part. A garden takes place at the very heart of the area. This urban block plays with transparencies. There’s no place for monotony here, a new urban landscape is expected, with this entire minerals porosities. The building becomes a sculpture itself where each entity is part of a unity but remains peculiar. It also reflects the mix of urbanism with landscape. The idea arising from this is a mixed urban collective and a highly present landscape connecting with architecture. The hotel is an urban object with living walls, a mineral setting with random windows built on a “Marseillais” style. Windows are like vegetal bulbs growing from the porous mineral surface.
