The weinhauerhaus in the center of the spa town was prepared by the 5-member family shortly after acquisition makeshift and related to the planning phase. the original concept was changed several times, design and a model were initially made on their own, until the owner decided to also attract an architect. the choice fell on caramel architects and together many creative ideas were combined in an overall concept.
in order not to compete with the nostalgic heuriger atmosphere through the modern new building, but rather just to embed this in the living feeling, the garden atmosphere was transferred to all, newly created, levels.
the ground floor remained an open area in every respect, on which only the continuous glass façade defines a cold and a warm area. the cantilevered concrete ceiling plays harmoniously with the concrete surface of the garden terrace and offers vivid water reflections contrast.
the first floor accommodates each a spacious parent-bedroom with sanitary facilities as well as a compromise-oriented sleep-work room with bath for three girls.
in the attic there is a light-flooded work area with open views over surrounding gardens and buildings.
the generously sized playroom, which is located in the basement, is provided with light via an open-glass staircase area.
the urge to autonomy and self-initiative bears fruit in countless details and can not only be harvested as pillar fruit on all floors. the curious onlooker will discover here a hidden saving stove, because an almost too simple light system and there all kinds of unexpected things.
