Three generations under a Japanese-industrial housing
A project located in Taichung City
30 years old townhouse within an alleyway
After discussion with owner we decided to use grey as base for outside appearance.
Then we used southern pine wood texture to create warm feel balanced out the cold feel from grey scheme tiles done in cross pattern for vitality in front yard.
Brushed porcelain tiles for scratch resistant and low liquid absorption ensuring cleanliness and wet days safety.
Straight line shoe cabinet to match same depth as front yard. This let every family member to have personal shoe cabinet. Japanese simplicity style for 1st and 2nd floors combination of white and light wood to create brightness in the townhouse.
Semi see through multipurpose Japanese style room with folding doors. Adults are able to see children in the area.
Possible room conversion for seniors when needed. Japanese room entry step shares same level as first step of stairs creates bigger area perspective.
Original room on right hand side of 2nd floor. Reconstructed wall-window creates spaciousness thus showing an openly study room.
Black window metal frame build continue the 1st floor’s elegant style and added neatness feel. The spare room on 3rd floor creates a living spaces for small family keeping same design style as previous floors Infused with industrial feel.
With high ceiling setting we added loft construct maximizes space usage.
Loft has an open area. Kids room right beneath loft since children are little we used semi clear glass to take care kids.
Family room for social gathering with special built mini bar. Even 1st floor with living and dining room, 3rd floor can be used to entertain friends.
