The client’s main requirement was to design an office under the concept of open space; this became an aim to find the biggest possible areas as well as fulfilling the requirements for the proper functioning of the office. In addition, there were certain conditions of information security that impeded areas to be close to each other. A central structure was designed in wood and steel plates that defined the shape of the office and also defined the circulation and the placing of furniture. This element is a curved black steel wall that receives you in the reception and penetrates through the office, it divides the office in two separate zones and it consists of two meeting rooms and two private offices. A perimetral circulation around this central element acts as distributor of the offices and fulfills the need of separating the area of sales from the rest of the areas. The first zone consists of four rows of furniture (risks, legal administration, credit and portfolio) that cross the area laterally, with a perimetral circulation plus an internal one between each row. Besides, it has an area for the afores zone that, for security reasons, stands alone. The second zone has two rows of furniture that constitute the area of sales, also a meeting room for sixteen people and a reading area. The materials employed in the project were: 2” laminated walnut strips and black steel plates on walls; modular floor, carpets and ceiling.
