Living in Bratislava’s Old Town with the distinctive signature of TOITO Architects.
The core theme of this bold apartment renovation is, once again, carefully considered structural alterations and the uncovering of original layers and constructions.
A key part of this tailor-made home is formed by meticulously crafted furniture pieces that define the individual functional zones.

Post-war construction in Bratislava used all available materials. In one apartment building made of brick, you'll find both wooden and reinforced concrete ceilings, terrazzo on the staircase, wooden windows, and a sheet metal roof. This kind of atmosphere is repeated throughout the entire old town. The renovation of apartment K76 reveals the memory of the era down to the bone. The cleansing itself forms the foundation of the entire interior. New elements are deliberately layered on top. We place contrasting materials and details side by side to reflect the individual personalities of the couple living there.

The entire space is a tribute to craftsmanship and the honesty of materials – without unnecessary embellishment, yet with a strong emphasis on detail, authenticity, and architectural sincerity.
