Knife is an American-style smokehouse restaurant and bar. The design aimed to create an honest, unpretentious environment. A balanced contrast is created between natural, raw materials such as the exposed concrete elements, steel structure and the warmth of timber and brass surfaces in an environment where any form of veneer is stripped away subtly revealing the working elements of the space from the kitchen to the air conditioning reticulation enhancing the honest “real” quality of Knife.
