This project is a apartment renovation for a couple pursuing well-being (well-being + fitness). The existing space was an apartment consisting of a living room, kitchen, master room, two rooms, two bathrooms, and a balcony. We tried to change the space by reflecting the lifestyle of a couple who enjoy spending time with their pets, and taking a lower-body bath.
The living room has a large space by changing its structure. To minimize furniture, TV shelves have been constructed on the living room walls, and hidden storage spaces have been designed in the hallway of the entrance. As it is the place where couple and pets spend the most time, it has been changed to fully use the large space.
The kitchen consists of a hidden kitchen, and all kitchen appliances are built in and expressed in a minimal way. We designed an island table with ample storage to keep it clean without additional kitchen furniture.
The master room was expressed as a soft resting space using a wooden floor. The bathroom in the master room is designed as a dry bathroom that is easy to manage by removing the door and separating the shower booth. The toilet was removed and a large washbasin was formed to complete the bathroom with a hotel-like image.
The shared bathroom is an important space for rest through lower-body bathing, and the balcony has been expanded to secure a large area. For a better use, the standing bath was constructed, and the rectangular mosaic tile was used to express it as a trendy bathroom. We intended to create a space that provides better rest by changing the structure and creating a mood according to the client's lifestyle.
