An existing space adjacent to the school’s oval was utilised through the development of a new STEM Hub at Loxton High School. The new building provides a visual and circulatory link between existing classrooms and the schools oval and recreational area.
The new Hub’s construction reflects the harshness of Loxton’s climate and works with it. The building has primarily solid masses on the north, east and west facades and a transparent glass heavy south façade.
However, the interior of the building is very open and transparent to allow for an open learning environment that reflects the STEM learning pedagogy.
